Moreover, there is a pleasant flow between the movements and postures, which ensures that your body keeps moving and is released in a pleasant way. Easy Flow yoga is ideal for beginners, for people who are recovering from an injury, illness or want to get back on track after giving birth, but also for the experienced yogi who likes to alternate regular classes with a quieter class. The class is also very pleasant for those who are getting a year older and for whom regular Hatha yoga is just a bit too difficult. In short, everyone is welcome.

Easy Flow yoga class

The class starts like all yoga classes with a moment of silence, a meditation or breathing exercise to land and let all the 'noise' of the rest of the day fade into the background. Then the lesson continues with various postures, asanas, which together form a nice flow for your body. The postures are very different. From standing, to sitting and lying on the mat. You call on your muscle strength and flexibility here and there, but only as far as it goes for you. It may be challenging, but above all it must remain 'Easy'. You listen to your body and the teacher will also think along with you about ways to make the postures manageable for you. Our yoga classes have in common that it is never a competition with the person on the mat next to you, but a personal challenge to challenge yourself far enough without going beyond your own limits. The lessons are concluded with a pleasant final relaxation. After class, a cup of hot tea will be waiting for you.

For whom

The Easy Flow yoga is extremely suitable for those for whom regular Hatha yoga is just a bit too ambitious or for those who simply prefer a quieter variant of this. But also for those who are a bit older and / or recovering from an injury, illness or after childbirth want to (re)activate the body in a calm way. In all our lessons there is a lot of attention for personal limitations and teachers are always happy to think along with you.

Yogamateriaal

During the Easy Flow yoga classes you use several materials. All this material is available with us, but if you have something at home that you'd like to use, feel free to bring it with you. The basis is of course the yoga mat. We also use a meditation cushion. This is a round cushion. You can use this to sit on during meditation, but we also use it to support the different postures. We also have the yoga bolsters. These are elongated round cushions that perfectly help support your body in various postures. All our meditation cushions and yoga bolsters are made of high quality organic cotton and natural filling for pleasant use.

We also use blocks and tires for support or intensification. Finally, we have blankets. You can roll it up and use it as a support, or of course wrap it around you to make yourself comfortable. During the final relaxation it is wonderful to snuggle under such a blanket. We give our members the opportunity to order their own yoga material through our wholesaler at a very reduced rate.

Teachers

Our Easy Flow classes are taught by Marieke Awater. All our teachers are trained and experienced teachers.

  • How can I submit?

    Fill in the contactform on our website and we will be in touch as soon as possible to arrange a free trial lesson. If you enjoyed the lesson, you can subscribe with a subscribtionform you will receive from us.

  • What do I need for a yoga class?

    During yogaclass we use, besides the yogamat, several attributes like cushions, blocks, blankets and ropes. We have all the material waiting for you, but if you prefer to bring your own, that's no problem. 

  • Where are the classes held

    All our yogaclasses are taught on our location at Staddijk 41 in Nijmegen. In our building we have several areas. The most used area for the yogaclasses is the Zolder. The chairyoga is taught in the Multiruimte, the Easy Flow in our Dojo. We will point you in the right direction for your class! 

  • How big are the groups?

    The yogagroups in the Zolder and Dojo have a maximum size of 15 participants, but are often smaller. The classes in the Multiruimte have max capacity of 10 people. 

  • What do I wear to class?

    During yogaclass it is nice to wear comfortable clothes who are flexible for movements like sportsclothes or widefitted clothing. Whatever makes you feel comfortable. We always advice to bring someting warm for the endrelaxation (cardigan/socks).  

  • Is there any time after class to catch up?

    After class there is served tea in our café. This tea is from the house. During this teamoment there is time to catch up and enjoy the company. Drinking tea after class is very healty!
